The story is set in a country quite similar to France, the Navarin, during a period similar to the early 20th century. There is a democratic government, with a president – Honorin Rouflaquet – and a backward-looking cabinet. In the salons, the aristocrats are rather modernist. The Great Cause is an ultra conservative secret political movement that wants to impose a dictatorship and the Rebellious are against all forms of power. "Une Aventure de Spirou et Fantasio." A special one-shot album featuring two classic characters in a grand adventure. A Caribbean setting, a sunken treasure hunt, submersibles and diving gear, how cool is that?

Reminiscent of an Uncle Scrooge or Asterix adventure where essentially comic characters are involved in a "straight" storyline. Fred Blanchard designed the vehicles (his specialty). Yoann's style is tighter and more controlled here: excellent stuff. Text in French.

One of the few collections of the pre-marriage period of this classic strip. This volume features Blondie's romantic adventures with a succession of suitors (including Dagwood). Alex Raymond assisted Young during this period. Reproduced in a nice large format, three strips per page.
