Some years back, Joost Swarte published a book titled "Leporello," which is not, in fact, a leporello. Here we have an actual leporello by Joost Swarte, and it's called "Swarte Comics." We can't explain that, but we sure do like the art.
These two small leporellos were published on the occasion of the presentation of the 2012 Marten Bearer Award to Joost Swarte. On one side of each concertina-style book is a collection of highlights from Swarte's career (stained glass windows, New Yorker covers, etc.), while the other side contains several complete Swarte one-page comic strips.
