Rungius was a masterful painter and one of the best wildlife artists of the 20th century. Academically trained in Germany, Rungius traveled and painted wildlife in Canada and Alaska and eventually emigrated.

This is a 1993 limited edition reprint of a book originally published by The Countryman Press in 1945 in a 1275-copy limited edition.

10 paintings in color, 18 drawings, 9 etchings, 11 photographs, and a portrait of the artist.

Brown leather, gilt lettering and design, raised bars on spine. All edges gilt, ribbon marker, marbled end papers.
