Cave Paintings: The Art of Budd Root

In stock

A lovely art book devoted to Cavewoman creator Budd Root, edited, designed and published by Frank Cho.

Over 105 pages of Budd Root art, almost entirely full-page color illustrations, with some half page color illustrations, and some full-page ink pieces.

With an Introduction by Frank Cho; an 11-page story: The World of Cavewoman; and a 2-page interview with Budd Root.

I've been a huge fan of Budd Root and his opus, Cavewoman, since the beginning. For years, I've marveled at his delightful and saucy art. Budd has an amazing ability to capture on paper the shadowy and primal feel of King Kong, Willis O'Brien's masterpiece, which I can attest is next to impossible. But Budd does it with ease and fun. His women are sexy yet innocent with a healthy dose of curves in all the right places. Budd Root is my kind of artist. -- Frank Cho
