From the introduction:
This is a collection of weekly (ish) life drawings from 2023.
We tried to alternate between masculine and feminine characters every week (or draw couples) because we both love drawing ladies, though have to break out of the comfort zone somehow. Eventually we both started enjoying drawing any character! Progress!
This book includes 2, 3, 5 and 10 minute drawings additional color pass. After most sessions I touched up some drawings and added color. I would also re-design some of the poses if I felt like I wanted to push them more or in a different direction.
Working on every session felt like a very nice break from art I did for work, and allowed me to fall back in love with gesture drawing.
Anastasiia Platoshyna is a Ukrainian-Canadian artist and storyteller, working as a character designer and a visual development artist in animation.
