A museum exhibition catalog showcasing the comic book work of artist Sandy Plunkett.
Plunkett came of age in New York City during the '60s and '70s and began drawing for Marvel Comics at eighteen. Inspired by Foster, Raymond, Frazetta, and Steranko, Plunkett's lush illustratorly style is reminiscent of Wm Stout and Dave Stevens. Plunkett himself illustrated an 8-page story for Rocketeer Adventures in 2011 (reproduced here from the original art).
Other artwork reproduced: pages for Marvel Fanfare, The Defenders, Boris Karloff Tales of Mystery, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, Solo Avengers, Marvel Comics Presents, and other publications.
With a short piece by Plunkett on the creation of a comic page, and an interview of Plunkett by David Filipi.
