Icon: A Retrospective by Frank Frazetta - Deluxe Signed Traycased Edition

In stock

This is the 100-copy deluxe leatherbound edition of ICON: A Retrospective by the Grandmaster of Fantastic Art, Frank Frazetta. It has been signed by James Bama, Rick Berry, William Stout, and Arnie and Cathy Fenner. It bears the signature stamp of Frank Frazetta which he created for the limited editions of ICON. The signature page has also been crimped and imprinted with a specially made seal.

This book contains all the artwork included in the slipcased version of ICON with an additional pen and ink drawing bound into the traycase that is unique to this edition.

Each book was hardbound in China using fine topgrain cowhide from Holland, part of which has been textured as snakeskin. Each traycase was handmade and bound in black Iris linen from Germany. Text paper is 157gsm Multiart, a choice coated stock from Japan. Head and tail bands are also from Japan.

The illustration framed on the inside lid of the traycase is previously unpublished, this printing is limited to the 100 copies bound in this edition.

--From the letter from the publisher Tim Underwood

Included with each leatherbound ICON is one copy of the "sales blad" for the trade hardcover edition that is due out in stores this Fall.

The blad will not be offered for sale by us. It is included here as a bonus to our customers. It should become quite collectible as time goes by-there are a few things on the back cover that have not appeared elsewhere.

--From the second letter from the publisher
