The reissue of the legendary "Le Morne au Diable", text and drawings by the great illustrator Georges Beuville (1902-1982) after Eugene Sue.
24 of the 35 pages are reproduced from the original art and the other 11 pages are carefully restored.
From the publisher:
The 21 x 29 cm book, reproduces the pages made by Georges Beuville at the request of Hergé for the Belgian editions (fr/nl) of the JOURNAL TINTIN in 1950. For this first edition, 2/3 of the originals could be found by La Crypte Tonique and restored by Lison D'Andrea with the agreement of the beneficiaries.
Offset printed by Jan De Meester at the Cultura printing press, the book is accompanied by issue 14 of La Crypte Tonique "L'Etoile vue (s) de Belgique" which sets the context of this creation and its underground impact on the comic strip from the 1950s to today.
