This is a first printing of this collection of Charles Dana Gibson's illustrations of the people and scenes of London during the year that he spent in London. Gibson also contributes the text on most page spreads.
The book is bound with a white cloth spine and paper covered boards with beveled edges and an illustrated front cover. The book is housed in a two part gift box (tray and lid) repeating the book cover illustration.
This format matches the regular series of Mr. Gibson's published drawings, and all are uniform in size, shape and binding.
72 pages with 53 illustrations.
It has only light wear to the corners, and a bit of mild spotting on the covers and edges, but the covers are clean and bright, the binding is very sound; overall, a nice copy.
The box tray is very sound. The box lid is worn around the edges, has split along some of the seams, and has two pieces missing from the side panels.
