Mike Mignola and Stuart Ng Books have created a special bookplate for the First Edition/First Printing of Mike's Quarantine Sketchbook. The bookplate is signed & numbered and features a previously unpublished drawing not included in the book. We will be donating a significant portion of our proceeds to Mike's charity of choice World Central Kitchen.
The First Printing of the book sold out before publication. A second printing is in stores now.
Soon after the quarantine began in March of 2020, Mike began drawing and posting a series of sketches--and occasional watercolor paintings--and auctioning them off to benefit Jose Andrés' World Central Kitchen. Mike is a favorite of comics fans as well as other artists and his renderings of strange and varied characters from comics, animation, film, horror, video games, cereal boxes, and more will delight and divert even in uncertain times.
From the publisher:
During the coronavirus quarantine, legendary Hellboy creator Mike Mignola posted original pencil sketches online and auctioned off the art to raise money for Jose Andres' World Central Kitchen. The sketches went viral and were the talk of the comics internet.
Now those sketches are published in print for the first time, with all profits going to the World Central Kitchen.
This new, oversized hardcover collection is a must have for Mignola readers and art fans alike. The book features an introduction by Christine Mignola, alongside sketches of Hellboy, beloved and unexpected pop culture characters, macabre chess pieces, gothic vegetable creatures, strange vampires, and more.
