This middle volume slows the action down just a bit, but the album is still full of action set-pieces on a grand scale, as Captain Nemo takes Kimball from Russian to India aboard the Nautilus. We get to see the ship inside and out. They encounter a battleship, Indian troops, a squad of attack submarines, and a pod of sperm whales. Kimball dons a diving suit to explore the shipwreck on the seafloor. And along the way, the Indian officer pursuing Kimball gets aboard the Nautilus...

This first edition features an exclusive 8-page sketchbook section.

From the publisher:

To prove his innocence, he will dive 20,000 leagues under the sea.

Pretending to be a French government agent named Jean Paillole, Kimball manages to break Nemo out of the Russian prison that had held him for more than 10 years. With her captain freed, the legendary Nautilus is ready to head for Bombay Bay where the documents Kimball covets still rest. Time is running out, Nemo's escape causes a stir, and Kimball is still being tracked. However, the submersible has not yet started before the two men begin arguing. If they want to succeed, they will have to stick together... But the disagreements are more flagrant every moment. A question then remains unanswered: which will betray the other first?

The second part of a thrilling triptych, a real chase on a planetary scale where espionage, inextricable situations and spectacular scenes mingle, Nautilus continues to offer a beautiful and thrilling story.
