Fantasy artist/author Kenneth Smith built up a critically acclaimed one-man magazine, Phantasmagoria, during the 1970s. After its fifth and final issue, he continued to work even though the work was orphaned from the publishing medium he had developed for it. His art is marked by versatility, a sculptural sense of form, and often dazzling technical finesse.
Gathered in this collection is some of the best of the work, much of it unpublished. Each piece makes a gateway to an unreal but curiously human realm, a dreaming life that catches us in its eye. Graphic Story World called him "one of the field's leading artists," and from first to last his touch is unique.
