This edition features padded covers bound in brown leather.

An integral part of the deluxe edition was a color print reproducing a production layout, housed in a separate Demons & Merveilles poster tube. However many copies of the book have been separated from the print since its publication over 25 years ago.

This is the most lavish book ever made on Disney's second feature film. This sumptuous book features original documents, story boards, character sketches, layouts, drawings, cels and backgrounds. 325 color illustrations, 100 full-page, 4 fold-out views, and 1 cel set-up: an acetate cel of Jiminy Cricket against a painted background of a violin. Over 100 of the colour plates have a UV varnish to enhance the image. Text is in French. An English edition was later made.
