He wrote back to me that there was Amelia Earhart, who had disappeared in the Pacific on July 2, 1937. And so I began to research and draw the first panel, which laid the foundation for this project. Subsequently, each panel logically led to the next, and the story took its course, with the protagonists developing a life of their own and dictating what I had to draw. No layout or preliminary sketches...Nevertheless, I was gripped by comic fever...and the appetite for more came naturally. After more than 80 pages, I finally had to tell myself that enough was enough. And so here it is, my first graphic novel. I hope you enjoy it...

The story:

There is an island beyond the real world that nobody knows about and which is said to give an afterlife to all those who have contributed to the Polynesian myth and on which they can live on forever by remembering them and their work, thereby making them immortal. But as so often in life, evil forces lurk to satisfy their greed, a consortium of anonymous investors wants to take control of this island and the island child that belongs to it, because the island child is the key to the soul of this secret island beyond time. The plan is to turn the island into a place of entertainment for well-heeled tourists who can book a trip back in time. A shady time traveler employs an Asian countess who orders her henchmen Wang Zhi and his men to find the island and capture the island child. For they are still living in the age of black powder and the time traveler has promised the countess the more modern Winchester rifles if she brings him the island child.

It all begins when Amelia Earhart crashes her plane on the secret island and is handed over by the Polynesian demigod Maui to the care of the famous painter Paul Gauguin with instructions to nurse her back to health. In her fever, Amelia speaks of the impending disaster that will befall the secret island and that the island child is in danger. Gauguin and his Polynesian friend Olo, accompanied by the beautiful Haumea, decide to rescue the island child. On their way they will experience many adventures and meet many historical figures who have contributed to the myth of Polynesia.

Will they be able to protect the island child and their island from the grasp of unscrupulous demons?....

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0705/2879/4922/files/4FE99D0A-1B5B-482D-8D2E-CC0A1AC741B7.jpg?v=1787892847
