Robert Pershing Wadlow was born February 22, 1918 in Alton, Illinois. He holds the world record for tallest man! A phenomenon, certainly, but who was he? Smooth and refined, passionate about astronomy, science, Robert Wadlow had reached a height of 8.84 ft. and a weight of 437 lbs. before his death, at the age of 22 years. A cut on his heel caused by an orthopedic brace ended up being fatal. He never felt the pain, did not even notice the tiny wound. His head ... WAS way too far in the clouds.
