This scarce double-length volume in Glamour's Profili series (in English, Profiles: Ferdinando Tacconi, the Colors of Adventure) celebrates the work of world-renowned comic artist Ferdinando Tacconi. Starting out in the late 1940s, Tacconi produced work for clients all over Europe. His long association with England's Fleetway Publications included war, historical, and humorous themes. Equally at home in ink or paint, Tacconi appeared in everything from cheesy sex digests to mainstream kids' magazines like Il Corriere dei Piccoli.
Gianni Brunro supplies a career overview overflowing with sample pages, while Antonio Vianovi presents checklists of Tacconi's comics and illustration work. The last third of the book is a color portfolio of cover paintings, illustrations, pen drawings, and personal work spanning the artist's long, diverse career.
