Description

Francisco Solano Lopez was one of the foremost Argentine comic artists, his work appearing throughout the world. In 1957 he co-created Juan Salvo, The Eternaut, with writer Hector Oesterheld. Solano Lopez returned to the character several times during his career. Solano Lopez en Primera Persona (Solano Lopez in the First Person) examines the history and development of The Eternaut with commentary by the artist.

From the back cover:

Solano Lopez opens his archives and show us everything we never knew about Juan Salvo: sketches, unfinished projects, forgotten panels from the original printing, cover illustrations from the 1950s, and unpublished artwork. In the artist's own words we go behind the scenes of the different versions of The Eternaut, and get a close-up look at his working methods. This is the definitive book about the art of The Eternaut.
