Description

Yoann is a fantastic French artist with a loose lively style reminiscent of Bodart and Conrad but with sharper angles. Over a decade ago, Yoann and Vehlmann were given the reins to the new adventures of Spirou et Fantasio, and now they have created this wacky spinoff series.

From the publisher:

The night is calm in Brussels. But this is only an illusion: dozens of masked figures roam the rooftops. So what are these superheroes straight out of US comics doing in the capital of Europe? The person responsible for this mess is none other than Spirou! Yes, Spirou, the famous Franco-Belgian comic character born in 1938 who has had dozens of adventures in albums--and who even has a magazine in his name!

However, lately, Spirou has been having doubts: forgotten by the young (or even treated as old-fashioned), his lifestyle and his incessant travels around the world clashed with his ecological and degrowth convictions.

And then he had this idea, not stupid a priori: invent Supergroom to attract attention and create buzz before revealing who was behind this superhero. However the adventure turned out badly, causing great damage, and Spirou finally decided to remain discreet about the identity of this benevolent but very clumsy superhero.

But Internet users are launching a petition for the return of Supergroom and dozens of pseudo-vigilantes (including a young girl in love with justice) take up the torch, forcing the only real Supergroom to leave his hideout and go on an adventure.
