Description

From the back cover:

On June 9, 1986, Cincinnati Enquirer reporter James F. McCarty and Enquirer editorial cartoonist, Jim Borgman, flew out of Greater Cincinnati International Airport armed with a stack of airline tickets, a TRS-80 computer, 25 pounds of paper and pens and a single assignment. "Have fun," their editor said. "If you have fun, the readers will have fun reading it." Their goal was to see as much of the United States as anyone could in 28 days. This is the story of what they found.

JAMES F. McCARTY has been a metro reporter with The Cincinnati Enquirer since 1985.

JIM BORGMAN, an editorial cartoonist at The Cincinnati Enquirer since 1976, is nationally syndicated.
