This is the catalogue to the museum exhibition ("Yoshiharu Tsuge: être sans exister" or "Yoshiharu Tsuge: to be without existing") mounted for the Angouleme Comics Festival in January 2020.

This catalog pays homage to the father of autobiographic comics - the "watakushi manga" - who also knew how to introduce dreamlike and unconscious elements into the manga. Nearly 200 original pages by the Japanese author are brought together for the first time, accompanied by illuminating texts on his work, his aesthetics and his life, written by the exhibition's curators.

All the artwork is newly scanned in high resolution with color calibration.
