John Watkiss (28 July 1961 - 20 January 2017) was a popular illustrator with an extensive artistic career that took him from the field of advertising to the world of graphic novels and movies. Watkiss worked for world-famous companies including Saatchi & Saatchi, Ridley Scott Associates, Francis Ford Coppola, Dreamworks, Twentieth Century Fox and Disney. His best known comic work was on projects for Vertigo including SANDMAN MYSTERY THEATRE, TRIGGER and DEADMAN.
