Christopher Sperandio was a pioneer in the field of Social Practice Art. He's since abandoned that field as dead — and has instead taken up direct political action in the form of political cartoons and comic books. Sperandio is an associate professor of art at Rice University, where he founded the Comic Art Teaching and Study Workshop. Sperandio's comics have been published by Fantagraphics Books, DC Comics and Kuš! Komikss. His works have appeared in anthologies StripBurger, š!, and Kutlul.
