This book is entirely handmade. Mondo took various Mondo posters, screen printed canceled movie posters on the backs of those, cut the posters up into book-size sheets, and bound them in a custom leather cover. Each copy is entirely unique.
The Mondonomicon book was released May 9th, 2013 on the Mondo site and immediately sold out. Here was their announcement:
We [are] releasing our third Mondo book, appropriately titled MONDONOMICON. This time around, instead of being only comprised of old prints and a nice leather cover (it has that, too), we have done a little something extra. Screen printed in blood-red across the backs of every print are an assortment of images from "dead" projects. No blank pages in this book. You'll find 16 previously unused designs in every book. This is truly our book of the "dead."
