The 34 pages in color reproduce development and production artwork and a charming, specially-drawn chapter "The Making of Dora the Movie" depicting the film crew interacting with the cartoon characters and sets as if it were a live action production.

The storyboards for Doraemon the Movie are unusual in that there are a lot of drawings added on the righthand side where there are typically only written instructions by the director.
