Life is not a long, quiet river in the Kingdom: the blacksmith François has only one goal in life: to marry the pretty tavern keeper Anne. And Anne has other ambitions, more social than marital in fact: she wants to succeed in her professional life and all her energy is directed towards the good management of her inn. La vie n'est pas un long fleuve tranquille au Royaume : le forgeron François n'a qu'un but dans la vie : épouser la jolie tavernière Anne. Mais ses tentatives de séduction manquent cruellement d'originalité et de romantisme puisqu'elles se font en général à base de bouquets de fleurs en acier... Et puis Anne a d'autres ambitions, plus sociales que conjugales d'ailleurs : elle veut réussir sa vie professionnelle et toute son énergie est dirigée vers la bonne gestion de son auberge. Jusqu'au jour où un (trop) beau ménestrel débarque au Royaume.
