From the publisher:

For the first time ever in English, a work of the acclaimed Italian duo, Berardi & Milazzo! This poetic, one-off graphic novel of a man and nature in all of its seasons, colored with Milazzo's breathtaking watercolor, is also our precursor to the Ken Parker western series!

Created by Giancarlo Berardi and Ivo Milazzo in 1974 and inspired by the film "Jeremiah Johnson" with Robert Redford, this character changed the concept of comics and became a cult classic.

Created with the intention of starring in a single special edition, Ken Parker pleased the publisher so much that it became an independent series, debuting in June 1977. By 1984, 59 episodes of the hero were published, followed by sporadic adventures, published in magazines and color editions, revered by comic book lovers. If you've already read Tex, you'll like Ken Parker much more, considered in Italy as the top of the line in Italian westerns.

About the creators

After having written some adventures of Tarzan and Diabolik, together with Ivo Milazzo, Giancarlo Berardi created Tiki for Il Giornalino and Welcome to Springville, a western series drawn by Milazzo and Renzo Calegari on the pages of Skorpio. In 1977, again together with Milazzo, he created Ken Parker, a decidedly innovative western character. The two authors later create Marvin, a former silent film actor who works as a detective in 1930s Hollywood, and Tom, a man with a mysterious past who runs a small suburban bar.
