Master of a fantastic and fascinating world, Charles Burns has never hidden his passion for comics from the 50s. Inspired by this often romantic aesthetic, the author of "Dédales" had fun creating a collection of fictional comic book covers in which he integrates elements specific to his strange and organic universe.

In "Caprice", he unveils around thirty unpublished illustrations conceived as so many potential books. The strength of his drawings thus offers a multitude of interpretations and suggests to the reader to imagine the story that arises from each image. We find in this series a summary of the themes that run through his entire oeuvre: adolescence, metamorphosis, nightmares, and sexuality.
