For those unfamiliar, GUNK is a vintage horror comic zine by artist Curt Merlo, but this isn't your everyday GUNK - this is GUNK After Dark! It's the same perverse macabre that you have come to despise from Volume 1 and Volume 2 but with so much more sex and death filth it could make a vampire blush.

GUNK starts with a picture show of unique one-off mood setting images and continues into two short stories that are called micro-comics.

For this book, each page is hand painted with little or no digital manipulation. There is enough digital manipulation in our lives. Each original piece is hand-painted on a 10" x 10" thick bristol board using gesso, Plantum Carbon ink, watercolor paints, and Deleter Screentones.

GUNK is a 6" square format 36 page self made zine.

Curt Merlo has provided covers and illustrations to publications such as: Wired, The Washington Post, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Guardian, The Observer, Scientific American, Ebony, The Nation, The Boston Globe, ProPublica, The Village Voice, LA Weekly, Seattle Weekly, The Hollywood Reporter, Little White Lies, as well as his monthly contribution to the Indianapolis Monthly "The Beat" Column.

Curt has been publishing books since 2013 under his publishing company Saboteur Press. Curt's work has also appeared on album covers, Theater posters, and in movies.
