A new album by fan favorite Tony Sandoval for Glenat's Porn'pop "Erotic" line of graphic novels. While Tony's comics typically have sexual or erotic overtones, this is Tony's first explicitly X-rated comic.

In evidence are all of Tony's usual themes and elements: coming-of-age, young love, lesbianism, emerging sexuality, serpents, rock music, and cosmic horror. Here Tony pushes the Cronenbergian body horror and there is a cosmic mystery at the center of the story, so the Erotic label in my opinion is a bit of a red herring.

Tony Sandoval is a brilliant artist who, like Tim Burton, creates a new visual and poetic universe for each work. Oscuro en rosa is a work as unexpected as it is welcome, which evokes Guillermo Del Toro's The Shape of Water, and manages to fascinate by the formidable exchange it builds between attraction and fear.

Tony Sandoval est un artiste brillant qui, à la manière de Tim Burton, fabrique pour chaque œuvre un nouvel univers visuel et poétique. Son dessin, d'une grande sensibilité, parvient à combiner dans les pages d'Oscuro en rosa : langage érotique, métaphores initiatiques et délires surréalistes. Un ouvrage aussi inattendu que bienvenu qui évoque La Forme de l'Eau de Guillermo Del Toro et parvient à fasciner par le formidable échange qu'il construit entre attraction et inhibition.
