A sharp copy of the 1966 first edition. It boasts the best reproduction of these 26 painted comic book stories AND in an extra-large format. The largest reproduction of this painted artwork ever.
Harvey Kurtzman and Will Elder's legendary satirical comic bankrolled by Hugh Hefner and published in Playboy magazine from 1962 to 1988. Reportedly Kurtzman and Elder were paid more for these comic pages than any work prior. Artwork by Kurtzman and Elder, with occasional assistance from Jack Davis, Frank Frazetta, Russ Heath, Al Jaffee, and Arnold Roth.
This 1966 collection of Playboy's Little Annie Fanny was published simultaneously in hardcover and paperback.
Only nine of these stories are reprinted in the 1971 edition (which, at 8.5 x 11 inches, was half the size of this book). The Dark Horse edition collects them all but suffers from lesser reproduction quality.
Near Fine in Very Good+ dustjacket (corners and spine ends appear sharp, but upper front corner pushed slightly inward, lower rear corner lightly blunted, gift inscription on the front free endpaper, pages bright, flat, and undented; a tiny chip and mild edge wear to the topedge of the dustjacket). A well above average copy.
