Full color super vision of Range Murata 1999
In 1999, Range Murata published "FLAT", a full-color comic magazine planned and edited by himself, which won the Japan Book Publishers Association President's Award (comic category) at the 34th Book Design and Binding Contest Exhibition.
Japanese concept artist Range Murata has always been interested in presenting new artists to the public. His best-known effort in this direction is the book series Robot. Flat was an earlier incarnation of the same idea. These two color volumes under the subtitle "full color super vision of Range Murata" showcase thirty projects. The stories cover a wide range of styles and subject matter, from kids to punks, romance to violence, classic manga to more western-influenced styles.
