First published in 1978 in the UK, Necronomicon was the first major published compendium of images by Swiss artist H. R. Giger.
Giger's Necronomicon was given to director Ridley Scott during the pre-production of the film Alien, who then hired Giger to produce artwork and conceptual designs for the film.
This oversized collection (12" x 16 3/4") contains 200 photographs, paintings, and sculptures, as well as interviews, essays, autobiographical text, and an introduction by Clive Barker. Sewn binding. Foil-stamped dust jacket.
