From the publisher:
After achieving the quickest sell-out in TwoMorrows' history, KIRBY & LEE: STUF' SAID has gone back to press for an Expanded Second Edition, including minor corrections, and 16 new pages of "Stuf' Said" by the creators of the Marvel Universe! This first-of-its-kind examination, completed just days before Stan Lee's passing, looks back at Kirby & Lee's own words, in chronological order, from fanzine, magazine, radio, and television interviews, to paint the most comprehensive and enlightening picture of their relationship ever done--why it succeeded, where it deteriorated, and when it eventually failed.
Interspersed chronologically in this new edition are 16 pages worth of new and often surprising revelations that've come to light since the first edition took fandom by storm! It's augmented with copious additional comments by Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko, more details and Lee and Kirby's clash over the origin of Galactus, and a remarkable find that explains why Kirby decided to bitingly parody Stan Lee as "Funky Flashman" in his Mister Miracle comics series.
Also here are recollections from Wallace Wood, John Romita Sr., and more Marvel Bullpen stalwarts who worked with them both. Rounding out this book is a study of the duo's careers after they parted ways as collaborators, including Kirby's difficulties at Marvel Comics in the 1970s, his last hurrah with Lee on the Silver Surfer Graphic Novel, and his exhausting battle to get back his original art--and creator credit--from Marvel. Stuf' Said gives both men their say, compares their recollections, and tackles the question, "Who really created the Marvel Comics Universe?". Compiled, researched, and edited by publisher John Morrow.
This came from the collection of Steve Sherman, a writer, artist, puppet-maker, puppet-performer, and avid collector. Steve worked as Jack Kirby's assistant, at Filmation, and Sid and Marty Krofft, before forming his own company Puppet Studio in 1984 contributing to "Pee-Wee's Playhouse", "Men in Black 1 & 2", "Mighty Joe Young", "Muppets" and numerous other TV series and feature films.
