The third book in this fantasy series.

From the publisher:

When fantasy allows us to denounce disturbing truths.

Now in the company of Gaëlle, Erwan continues to wonder about the disturbing and mysterious trail left by Pauline... Where could she be in this Paris devastated by poverty, pollution, and attacks? A chance television report will make her reappear, but no sooner have they found her than she disappears again... Clues will allow them to understand that she has returned to Brittany, and it is at Erwan's house that they finally find her. They then meet Blanche, her enigmatic child. Together, Pauline and Erwan try to understand what happened to them in the small world. But the mystery deepens even more when Erwan receives a posthumous letter from Master Cristo: the man's destiny is in great danger and it will be up to him - the new transporter - to do everything to maintain the great balance...

Loisel and Djian give this third volume a more disturbing and dramatic tone, revealing a world and nature in full decline. Vincent Mallié's expressive drawings are still as accurate and enchanting as ever.
