This is one of a limited number of hardcover copies with an exclusive signature page signed and dated 2025 by Don Simpson. The signed hardcover edition was only available through the crowdfunding campaign, fewer than 300 were pledged during the campaign, and it is no longer available.
Don Simpson's classic superhero parody and worldbuilding multi-character epic, collected here in an omnibus volume almost as bulging as The Man Of Molecules' own muscles. All issues, sequels, spin-offs, one-shots and short stories from 1983 to 1990 are collected here, along with a plethora of unpublished art and roughs, unseen sequences, plot outlines, historic photographs, various rarities, and an extensive afterword by Simpson.
With an introduction by Bill Morrison (The Simpsons) and foreword by Chris Ecker (Big Bang, Now Comics).
A 608-page, 8.8" x 11.3" deluxe hardcover!
The Man of Molecules began as satire but soon became the industry standard! The Megahero of a Million Tons of TNT joins forces with the See-Thru Girl, Yarn Man, and Kozmik Kat to face down Bad Guy, the Cosmic Cue-Ball, and the Partyers from Mars!
Simpson created Megaton Man as a one-off superhero parody in 1982 at the age of 21, and swiftly grew his world into an entire universe of interconnected Bizarre Heroes characters that continues to spill onto pages and screens to this day. His other work includes collaborations with Del Close on DC's Wasteland horror anthology, "official" Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles parodies, illustrating Al Franken's Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right, and co-creating In Pictopia with Alan Moore. Simpson also created the science-fiction series Border Worlds, completed as a graphic novel in 2017, and moonlighted as "Anton Drek" for Fantagraphics' once-and-future Eros Comics imprint.
