André-François Barbe (1936-2014) his first illustrations were published in 1958 in Le Rire. After that, he worked for several French magazines, including Charlie Mensuel, Hara-Kiri, l'Écho des Savanes and Le Monde. Besides his work for the French market, Barbe worked for foreign magazines like Punch and Playboy. In addition to his comic career, Barbe created many illustrations for the press.
