An above average copy of the first edition of this classic animation text from 1958!
A step-by-step demonstration of the Disney studio's feature animation process circa 1958 using Sleeping Beauty as the primary example. Filled with photos and illustrations. With a full chapter devoted to production designer Eyvind Earle. This book has lots of artwork by - and inspired by - Earle. Includes a very useful "Compilation of Animation Credits" for Disney artists.
This Simon & Schuster edition of "The Art Of Animation" featured a cloth covered spine. The later Golden Press edition had a more fragile paper covered spine.
