A first printing of the Dark Horse hardcover edition signed by the artist on the half-title page. A very nice Wrightson autograph.
At 9x12 inches, this edition is larger than any other trade edition of Wrightson's Magnum Opus. Unfortunately, the reproduction in this 25th Anniversary edition is not as good as the Dodd, Mead; Marvel; or Albin Michel editions; or even the Miller reprint. The ink is laid on a little too thick and too black to retain the fine details in the dark areas. But if you don't have any Wrightson Frankenstein edition in your library, or if you have every Wrightson Frankenstein edition in your library (like me), then you need one! This is Wrightson's most famous work and features 42 full-page and three double-page pen & ink illustrations.
