The follow-up to James Martin's figure drawing art book, Muse. Martin's new book, titled Lys (Danish for 'light'), contains a sumptuous collection of female nudes and selected art created in the four years since the publication of Muse.
James Martin is an American illustrator. He graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena with a B.F.A. in illustration. For the next 20 years, he held various artistic positions and collaborated with major animation studios such as Walt Disney Feature Animation and DreamWorks Animation. He has worked on films such as Tarzan, Shrek Forever After, How to Train Your Dragon I and II, Hercules, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame and Treasure Planet.
He currently teaches in the illustration department at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Fl
