From the publisher:
Riding his tireless pterodelph, Arzak tirelessly crisscrosses the mineral expanses, flies over the overheated sands, explores gorges and ravines. Nothing escapes his alert gaze, the smallest rock lizard, the patches of killer grass... May the wolves and lambs of Tassili slit each other's throats and devour each other in peace! Only one thing alerts his watchful eye: the anomaly!
This publication "Corpus" takes a particular form and offers a reading experience in several stages. First, by (re)reading Arzak le Arpenteur in its digital color version, starting with the image, with the dialogue or with both at the same time. In the second part, discover the very beautiful black and white sequel, without words, drawn in India ink and reworked in places on the computer. Finally, in the last part, archives and compiled research, visualize the ending with multiple threads of intrigue and outcomes.
Arzak Destination Tassili Tome 1 was published in 2009 in black & white without word balloons. It was published in color with word balloons in 2010 as Arzak l’Arpenteur Tome 1. Arzak Destination Tassili Corpus Final publishes Tome 1 in color without word balloons.
Moebius passed away in the middle of creating Tome 2—the conclusion. Now, Tome 2 is presented as he left it: a work-in-progress, with 29 1/2 finished inked pages; and story notes; notes for dialogue, characters and scenes; and descriptions of the final scenes. This is the first publication of any part of Tome 2 in any form.
In addition, a gallery presents 17 pages hand-watercolored by Moebius, and additional Arzak paintings and illustrations.
