About the artist:

Hi! My name is Jean Joseph Kézié Demessance, but I'm known as Keziedra. I was born in 1995 in the town of Creil, France. I grew up with my Togolese mother, my French father and my two loving older sisters.

My artistic journey began when I was first introduced to the world of video games and later to Japanese animation. My father played a key role in this, as he had a wide variety of games. Being exposed to the various cultures and art styles was my first step and inspiration to becoming an artist.

After obtaining my bachelor degree, the next step of my journey was in the Waide Somme animation school. Those five years were crucial in making me as the creator that I am today. My family, mentors and friends were the fuel that pushed me to walk this path, as they have always supported me.

This book is a testament to the path I walked, and a love letter to all those people, those who influenced me, and to everyone following and encouraging me currently!

Me llamo Jean Joseph Kézié Demessance, pero se me conoce como Keziedra. Nací el 1 de diciembre de 1995 en Creil, Francia. Crecí con mi madre, togolesa; mi padre, francés, y mis dos cariñosas hermanas mayores.

Mi viaje artístico comenzó cuando descubrí el mundo de los videojuegos y más tarde el de la animación japonesa. Mi padre desempeñó un papel clave en él, ya que contaba con una gran variedad de juegos. El contacto con todas esas culturas y estilos tan diversos fue, además de la inspiración, el primer paso para llegar a ser artista.

Después de licenciarme, el siguiente paso fue ir a la escuela de animación Waide Somme. Aquellos cinco años fueron cruciales para convertirme en el creador que soy hoy. Mi familia, mentores y amigos fueron el combustible que me empujó a recorrer este camino, pues siempre me han apoyado.

Este libro es un testimonio de ese camino recorrido y una carta de amor para todas esas personas, las que me influyeron, las me siguen y las me animan hoy en día.
