This is a fascinating and haunting series of pictures of Chernobyl. After the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear plant in 1986 the near-by town of Prypiat, which was built for the workers at the plant, were evacuated. The town is still abandoned. This series of photos shows the abandoned town and surroundings. It is a haunting portrayal of a decaying town. The buildings are all abandoned and in varying states of decay. The town also a time capsule of late 80's soviet Russia.
