Faeries and Goblins, Hummingbirds and Lizards! This sketchbook documents the art created as Chuck developed the world that has come to be known as the Garden Clan. Included are two step by step processes as Chuck documents the creation of a painted illustration and a pen and ink drawing.

Chuck has spent most of his career in the animation industry, having served as a storyboard artist, animation director, animator, character designer, and development artist, working for studios such as Disney and Nickelodeon.

He is currently teaching full-time and developing the world of the Garden Clan.

"Garden faeries are small, tiny even, the tallest never quite reaching two inches in height; and come in many forms and colors: there are the Faerie Rabbits, standing on two legs, unlike the animals we know, the Faerie Owls which appear a little odd to our eyes in that they have no wings, but claws for hands as well as feet, the Faerie Elves who look much like you or I, though their ears tend to be pointy (the Elves are commonly just called faeries, though technically all the Garden Clans are faeries), and the Goblins...."
