From the publisher:
For the tenth anniversary of Delirium, we are pleased to offer our readers a new prestigious edition devoted to the works of an emblematic author of our catalogue, Richard Corben.
Following the recent death of the author in December 2020 and in tribute to his extraordinary talent, we wanted to put the spotlight back on a founding period of his work and offer it under the best possible conditions to date, with elements found and restored exclusively for this French edition!
Indeed, with more than 400 pages, this anniversary edition with a screen-printed cloth spine will offer fans of the artist's work all the stories he published in the WARREN magazines. Among these, some have been either partially or entirely reproduced from original plates, access to which was made possible following the consecration of the author with the GRAND PRIX d'ANGOULEME in 2018, and the exhibition dedicated to him in 2019.
Among the other bonuses offered in this edition, readers will have the pleasure of discovering three new stories produced by the author during the relaunch of Creepy magazine by Dark Horse Comics in 2012, as well as a 64-page iconographic notebook, made up of magazine covers by Corben as well as a gallery of reproductions of the artist's original pages.
In eight years with the Warren stable, from 1970 to 1978, Richard Corben illustrated more than forty stories, the vast majority of them published in the publisher's flagship titles Eerie and Creepy. Often considered an underground artist from fanzines, Corben had from the start wanted to work for Warren. When he was finally dubbed by the founder of the legendary horror magazines, he quickly distinguished himself from his peers by his radical and unique style. His artistic career launched, Richard Corben was to become an undisputed master of the ninth art and fantastic illustration, a major influence on many artists to this day.
