A collection of original art by Dan Clowes. Mostly color comp sketches in pencil, ink and/or color pencil. Rarely seen versions of famous pieces: four New Yorker covers, four versions of the cover to Monica, and 15 comps for other book and comic covers.

With a biography and a bibliography of his books published in English, Italian, and French.

From the back cover:

What's the point of going forward if there's no one to help us find our way? Whoshould take on this role? And what kind of guide will we ourselves become? From the panels in Monica to the New Yorker covers, from the illustrations for the Criterion collection to the portraits for Newsweek, Vogue, The Village Voice or GQ, each drawing signed by Clowes is recognizable among thousands not only for the precision of his lines and the elegance of his style, but also for the load of questions about the very meaning of life that the author carries within.

Text in Italian/French/English

With a 50x70cm (19.7 x 27.6 inch) double-sided, limited edition poster reproducing Clowes' line art for the front and back cover of Monica.
