"President Clinton, of course, attracted special attention, and his escapades with Monica Lewinsky, Kenneth Starr, Paula Jones, and the United States Senate were duly recorded in vivid detail. The editorial cartoonists also zeroed in on a wide variety of other moving targets, however, including Vice President Al Gore and Bill Bradley, in their campaigns for the Democratic presidential nomination, and a bevy of Republican contenders headed by George W. Bush and John McCain."
