An above average complete set of Wally Wood's self-published Cannon. These oversized books collected his ultra violent, sexy, action strip that originally ran from 1970 to 1973 in Overseas Weekly, a newspaper produced for American servicemen abroad. Wood self-published the strip in these four volumes between 1978 and 1980. Each volume is 32 pages + covers.
Each volume has one page devoted to "The Word From Wood." Volume one has a full-length editorial by Wood full of hope. Volume four's last page is a final editorial by Wood on the shuttering of Wallace Wood Publishing and his future plans.
Issue 1 is Very Good+ (light bump/crease to the top corner, otherwise very flat, clean)
Issue 2 is Near Fine (one faint thumbdent, very flat, clean)
Issue 3 is Near Fine (no thumbdents, very flat, clean)
Issue 4 is Very Good+ (light wear to the top of the spine, mild cover toning, no thumbdents, very flat, clean)
