"Disney In-Between is an exhaustive account of the company's two-decade transformation, starting with the 1966 death of Walt Disney… Starting with 1966, each chapter is devoted to a single year, covering its projects, personnel, and other developments. And the book's strict chronological organization results in ample information on specific conflicts, as with that between Tim Burton and the producers of The Black Cauldron over his dark and experimental drawings… These and other stories are told in meticulous detail, drawing on interviews, research, and Anderson's firsthand experiences."--Clarion Reviews, Foreword Reviews
"Disney In-Between: The Lost Years 1966-1986 is an in-depth look at the Disney Studio's output during that turbulent 20-year period. It begins with studio staff learning they have lost their leader and ends with the ramp-up to what has been dubbed 'The Disney Renaissance.' The book provides behind-the-scenes stories about the production of every Disney theatrical release during this period and the drama that didn't make it onto the screen."--Sombrero Grande, Cinema Sentries Book Review
"The book Disney In-Between: The Lost Years 1966-1986 gives a deep dive into what is commonly known as Disney's 'Dark Age'...this is perhaps one of the best works dedicated to the dark age of the [The Walt Disney] company."--Mr. Milo, Pirates and Princesses
