"The Sword of Iskander"

Franka, the flashy private detective, receives a mysterious assignment via her friend Laura Lava. She is going to redecorate the superyacht that the wealthy Russian businessman Alexander Karat has just bought, with the theme: Alexander the Great, Karat's namesake. Money is no object; Franka is given the assignment to retrieve the sword of Iskander (the Turkish name for Alexander the Great) in Istanbul, which was smuggled from Iran via devious means. Franka's friend Rix discovers that they are being spied on via microphones and cameras. Rix is going to investigate this while Franka is in Istanbul. Many erotic scenes, but never explicit.

This is part one of a two-part story.

Creator Henk Kuijpers' Franka is a glamorous, globe-trotting private investigator in bright, fast-paced adventures. In any Franka album, expect sexy fashions, flashy cars, all kinds of fantastical planes and ships, exotic locales--beaches, mountains, ancient castles, hyper-modern mansions--drawn in Kuijpers' precise clear-line style.

From the publisher:

Franka is one of the most popular comic series in the Netherlands. The adventures of this sexy redheaded heroine are followed by millions of readers. Franka captures a present day variant of classic 'grand adventure' strips in a well composed 'clear line' style. Bold artwork packed with careful graphic and architectural detail. Adventure enlivened by wit.
