Friends:

As you can readily see, this first issue of HERITAGE is not as thick as you were led to believe. There is a reason for this - this is only the first half of the first issue. What does this mean? It means that due to the astronomical fees that would have been required to print all of issue one at once, and due to the fact that a few of the artists promised had over extended themselves and couldn't meet their dead-lines, we were forced to make a decision. We decided that rather than skimp on quality production, or on contents, we would take a financial loss and meet all of our commitments.

And what does this mean to you? It means that if you sent in a $5.00 subscription, you get both halves of the issue - a $7.50-plus value. It means you get features we hadn't advertised: Artwork by Wood, Garcon, Evans, Frazetta, and others; articles by Sherman and Ivie; color by Raymond, Williamson, and Morrow. All of these things. So, be patient, you have #1a in your hand; #1b will be along shortly.

Your Editors,

Dogg Murray Richard Garrison
